Mysuru:  Akhila Bharatha Sarvajna Samskruthika Prasthishtana had organised a function at Rotary Hall in JLB road here on Sunday to felicitate littérateur Dr. C. P. Krishnakumar (CPK) on his 79th birthday.

Four books of CPK namely Lokamate Nivedita, Angayalli Kuvempu, Angayalli Alankarashastra and Angayalli Sri Ramayana Darshanam were released on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Gnanayogananda of Ramakrishna Ashrama opined that to reach the calibre of Dr. CPK as a writer one should have an in-depth knowledge of literature and dedication.

He opined that CPK had strengthened the bonding between literature and spirituality by contributing regularly to the spiritual magazine of the Ashrama Viveka Prabha.

Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar and his wife were felicitated on the occasion.

Writers Dr. C. Naganna and Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj spoke on the books.

Sarvajna Sahitya Male was also launched on the occasion.

Theatre artiste N. Nagachandra, publishers D.N. Lokappa, K.C. Omkarappa, writer Prof.  K. Bhyravamurthy, Dr. B.R. Nataraj Jois, Dr. D. Thimmaiah and others were present at the function.
