Low-key celebrations at Railways

Mysore/Mysuru: Apart from the District Administration, various organisations, including the Government institutions and the University of Mysore, celebrated Independence Day. It was a low key affair at South Western Railways Mysuru Division. Railway officials and Railway Protection Force were present.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rahul Agarwal hoisted the National Flag and highlighted the performance and achievements of Mysuru Division. He emphasised that vaccination drives for the employees and their families have been taken up on war-footing. Over 10,906 doses were administered to all Railway beneficiaries in the Division, he said.

“To supplement existing healthcare, Railway Hospital has been upgraded to have 101 oxygenated beds, new X-ray machines, new Oxygen concentrators and other auxiliary equipment. An oxygen generator will shortly be installed and commissioned, the DRM added.
