Low-key Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in city

Mysuru: In wake of the severe floods in the State, it has been decided to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami as a low-key affair on Aug.23, said Assistant Commissioner Shivegowda, during the preliminary meeting held with the officials at the DC’ Office meeting hall here recently. 

Addressing the meeting, he said that the funds released for Krishna Janmashtami celebrations would be transferred to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the flood relief works. 

Office-bearers and members of District Yadava Sangha and members of pro-Kannada organisations were present.
