M.H. Anand Kumar (76), brother of late actor and former MP Ambarish and a resident of Chamarajapuram, passed away early this morning at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in city. He is the grandson and adopted son of the legendary Violinist (Pitil) T. Chowdiah

Anand Kumar, who used to run an Automobile Workshop on Chamaraja Double Road had retired from his profession.

He leaves behind his wife G.C. Rajeshwari, sons Chetan Kumar, Madan Kumar and Chandan Kumar, sister-in-law MP Sumalatha Ambarish and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be held on Sept.23 at 11 am at the foot of Chamundi Hill.
