Mysuru: A ‘Vishesha Mahashivaratri Mahotsava’ has been organised at NIE Sports Complex (Indoor Stadium) tomorrow (Feb.13), in which more than a thousand devotees will render ‘Sri Rudra Mantra’.

The rituals will commence at 5.30 pm with the chanting of Ganapathy Atharva Seersham and Laghunasyam, followed by Rudrabhishekha and other rituals. Swami Chidananda will deliver a discourse on ‘Shiva Mahima.’

Amruteshwara temple

As part of Mahashivaratri Puja Saptaha, Maha Mrutyunjaya Homa and Sri Dhanvantri Homa will be performed today (Feb.12) at Sri Amruteshwaraswamy temple on Dewan’s road in city.

Panchamrutha Rudrabhisheka will be performed on the morning of Feb.13, followed by other rituals throughout the day, marking Mahashivaratri.
