Major V.V. Appaswamy (72), a resident of Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, passed away this morning following a brief illness.

He leaves behind son Sudhir Gowda (Dermatologist), daughter, son-in-law Dr. A.H. Hareesh (senior Orthopaedic Surgeon and IMA Past President), brother Girish Gowda (President of Cosmopolitan Club) and a host of relatives and friends.

He had served in army for 33 years as a Army Officer.

Last rites were performed at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.
