Mysuru: A 44-year-old man was seriously injured on his hand when a group of four people assaulted him with machetes near the complex at Cauvery Nagar here last night.

The injured is Narayana Gowda, son of Govindegowda and a resident of Cauvery Nagar. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city. The persons whon assaulted Narayana was one Harish and his accomplices.

It is learnt that Narayana and Harish had a fight during the recently concluded MCC polls and the Police had issued warning to both of them and had let them off. But yesterday, Harish along with his accomplices attacked Narayana with machetes, during which Narayana sustained serious injuries on his hand.

Metagalli Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have launched a hunt to nab the alleged attackers, who are absconding.
