Mysuru: A woman, who had applied for divorce, was assaulted by her husband and the woman has lodged a complaint at Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard.

While the woman, who was assaulted, has been identified as Nikitha, a resident of Vijayanagar, her husband who allegedly assaulted her has been identified as Ranjith. The couple have a two-year-old daughter.

As there were difference of opinions between the two, Nikitha had reportedly applied for divorce. In her complaint, Nikitha has stated that her husband Ranjith used to come to her place of work and create problems and had threatened her that he would pour acid on her.

The complaint further states that Ranjith had threatened her with a blade besides threatening to upload her photos on social media and kill her. She has urged the Police to take legal action on Ranjith.
