Man goes to Court against Police Inspector

July 7, 2017

Mysuru: Following a petition by a person accusing a Police Inspector of violating law, a city court has asked the Vidyaranyapuram Police to submit a report in this regard.

K. Karunakar of Masagapura in Chamarajanagar district, had moved the court against Police Training School Inspector Srinivas,  who was then the Vidyaranyapuram Inspector, accusing the Inspector of falsely arresting him in a domestic violence case that was booked against him in 2013. Karunakar in his petition had alleged that the Inspector had violated the law by arresting him even before an FIR was filed and submitted to the court.

The court, which heard his  petition, directed the Vidyaranyapuram, Police to submit a report in this regard.
