Mandya DC visits flood-affected areas

Mandya: With the district facing a flood-like situation in several parts, Mandya DC Dr. M.V. Venkatesh visited several villages along Cauvery River basin in the district to review the situation.

The DC visited Gauthama Kshetra at Doddekoppalu village in Srirangapatna taluk, Wellesley Bridge at Srirangapatna town and Nimishamba Temple at Ganjam and took stock of the situation.

Gauthama Kshetra has turned into an Island as water has covered it completely on all sides. However, Kshetra  Seer Sri Gajanana Swamiji is safe with the District Administration taking all measures to tackle possible floods. The DC performed special puja at Nimishamba Temple.

Assistant Commissioner Shivanandamurthy, Tahsildar M.V. Roopa and other officials were present.
