Mandya Tahsildar lodges complaint against ex-Tahsildar

Land alienation through fake documents

Mandya: Mandya Tahsildar Maruti Prasanna has lodged a complaint with the Police, accusing his predecessor Tahsildar, Shirastedar and other officials of permitting land alienation through fake documents.

In his complaint with the Mandya West Police on June 3, Maruti Prasanna has accused the then Tahsildar Priyadarshini, who is currently serving as an MCC Zonal Assistant Commissioner, Mandya Taluk Office Shirastedar Sridhar, Belur PDO and Mallesh, son of one Kariyappa of being involved in the illegality.

Details:  The land in question is a 1 acre and 16 guntas area of land located in Survey No. 825 of Guttalu village in Kottatti hobli of Mandya taluk. The said land’s documents was issued in the name of one Channaiah Vide ALNCR 74/86-87. The same also finds mention in the RTC, which stands in the name of Sannamma, wife of Channaiah. The creation of fake documents came to light when Channaiah’s sons gave a written submission stating that there was no documentation  done in respect of the boundary of their land.

RTI activist K.R. Ravindra, accusing Mallesh of creating fake documents in getting land alienation with involvement of officials, lodged a complaint with the Mandya SP on Mar. 16, 2016 seeking action against everyone involved in cheating.

Ravindra, in his complaint, had named the then Tahsildar Priyadarshini, Shirastedar Sridhar, Belur PDO and Mallesh of being hand in glove in the creation of fake documents.

The SP, after receiving the complaint, forwarded it to the Deputy Commissioner for necessary action, following which the DC directed the AC to conduct a probe into the matter.

The AC, who conducted a probe, submitted a report saying that the charges were found to be prima facie true.

Following directions from the Assistant Commissioner, the Tahsildar lodged a complaint with Mandya West Police.
