Shree Nataraja Performing Arts Centre, headed by Vidushi Nagashree Phaneendrakumar, will present “Manjira Mahotsava,” a three-day National-level classical dance festival from Jan. 26 to 28 at Ganabharathi’s Rama Govinda Kala Vedike, Mysuru, starting at 5.45 pm each day.
The festival will be inaugurated by Vidwan Dr. Satyanarayana Raju, Director of Sanskriti – The Temple of Arts. Vidushi Dr. Kripa Phadke, Director of Nrityagiri Performing Arts Research Centre, Mysuru, will be the chief guest. M.K. Balaraju, President of Shree Nataraja Performing Arts Centre, will preside.
Jan. 26: As part of its tradition, Shree Nataraja Performing Arts Centre will felicitate distinguished contributors to Indian Fine Arts. Every year, the felicitation is sponsored by Seshukumari in memory of her late husband Tangirala Raghu, a classical vocalist from Mumbai. The honourees are the renowned dance couple Vidwan Shijith Nambiar and Vidushi Parvathi Menon from Tamil Nadu, who will perform after the felicitation.

The evening will continue with a duet Bharatanatyam performance by emerging artistes Vidushi Pooja Sugam and Vidushi Samiksha from Mysuru.
Jan. 27: At 6 pm, there will be an Odissi dance performance by renowned Vidushi Anushree Padmanabha from Mysuru. This will be followed by a Bharatanatyam duet by senior dance gurus Vidushi Sheela Chandrashekar and Vidushi Deepthi Radhakrishnan from Bengaluru at 7.30 pm.

Jan. 28: The final day begins with a solo Bharatanatyam performance by emerging artiste Vidushi Kruthika Thyagarajan from Bengaluru at 6 pm. The concluding session at 7.30 pm features a Bharatanatyam performance by the renowned artiste Vidushi Roopa Madhusudan, founder and guru of Nritya Ganga Pradarshaka Kala Kendra, Bengaluru.

Entry for the event is free and aims to promote aspiring artistes and celebrate the rich heritage of classical dance.
