Markets asked to maintain hygiene

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) is on high alert as Coronavirus scare is gripping the city. A team lead by Mayor Tasneem, Deputy Mayor C. Sridhar with MCC officials visited Devaraja Market this morning and instructed merchants to maintain cleanliness.

The Mayor warned two shop owners who had not put the waste material into dustbin. Officials have warned the merchants that if cleanliness is not maintained their shops will be closed down.

Later, MCC team visited yoga centres in Gokulam and instructed heads of yoga centres to report to the District Administration or MCC if any foreign yoga students are having symptoms of Coronavirus. President of MCC Standing Committee on Health Gopi, Health Officer Dr. D.G. Nagaraju, Environmental Engineer Mythri and other health officials were present.
