Mayor visits Ambale Annaiah Pandit Dharmashala

Mysuru: Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath on Sunday visited Ambale Annaiah Pandit Dharmashala, a girl students hostel on Chamaraja Double Road in city and inspected the admission register and the records of daily activities of the hostel.

She also heard grievances of the hostel inmates.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath said that the girls hostel comes under the MCC jurisdiction and its functioning will be reviewed once in six months. 

At present, there are 24 inmates in the hostel, which has the capacity to accommodate 50 girl students. As such, fresh admission will be made shortly, she added.

Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed, Corporators M.V. Ramprasad, Pramila Bharath and Sowmya, Hostel Warden Umadevi and other officials were present.
