Mysuru: With the Government announcing the Reservation Matrix for the Mayoral polls, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner G. Jagadeesha has written to the Mysuru Regional Commissioner (RC) to announce the poll schedule and hold election to Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts.

The Government which reserved the Mayor post to SC (woman) and Deputy Mayor post to ST (woman), has notified the same in the State Gazette, following which MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha has written to the office of the in-charge Regional Commissioner, Mysuru, M.V. Jayanti at Bengaluru on Thursday.

Following the letter M.V. Jayanti is likely to visit Mysuru on Monday, when she is expected to announce the Mayoral poll schedule.

Likewise, the in-charge Regional Commissioner is also making preparations for the Legislative Council polls from South Teachers Constituency, South-West Teachers Constituency and South-West Graduates Constituency, it is learnt.
