MCC forms Grievances Redressal Committee for street vendors

In order to address issues concerning street vendors, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has formed a Grievances Redressal Committee, which will have a five year duration.The Committee is headed by retired District and Sessions Court Judge H.Y. Vasanth Kumar. Former Assistant Executive Engineer and Zonal Officer K. Govindappa and social worker BhaskarSrinivasrajeUrs are the members of the Committee. This Committee will hear the grievances of street vendors by holding sittings.

The Committee will function in the MCC premises on all working days and hours just like any other Government Department. The aggrieved street vendors can submit representations within 30 days of an incident, according to a press release from MCC Commissioner.
