MCC Ward 36 by-election: Prohibitory orders around polling booths on Sept. 3

Mysore/Mysuru: With the by-poll for MCC Ward No. 36 scheduled to take place on Sept. 3 (Friday), the City Police have issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC, in 100 Mts.radius of all 11 polling booths from 6 am to 8 pm on the date of election (Sept. 3), as a precautionary and security measure to ensure  smooth and fair conduct of poll.

The voting will take place from 7 am to 5 pm at the following booths — Maulana Azad Residential School for Girls, Teachers Colony, Yaraganahalli (3 centres), Vijaya Convent , Yaraganahalli (3 centres) and Government Higher Primary School, Yaraganahalli (5 centres).

Accordingly, no unauthorised person, other than the voters, polling staff, Police personnel on duty and authorised  polling agents,  will be allowed to move around the polling booths on the poll date, according to a press release issued by the City Police Commissioner.
