Bengaluru: Sounding Medical Emergency due to big spike in Corona positive cases especially in Bengaluru, Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said all Private Hospitals in Bengaluru have been asked to reserve 80 percent of beds and handover it to the State Government in next three days.

Besides, all Private Medical Colleges have been directed to reserve all beds (except cases like dialysis and woman and child health issues) exclusively for COVID-19 patients within the next 72 hours. This will make available an additional 7,500 beds to citizens, he told media persons before leaving to Mysuru on official visit. 

The Minister said Private Hospitals have been told to handover all beds including normal, ICU and other emergency, to the Government Health Department.
