Regrets Wellness Expert Dr. B.R. Pai

Mysuru:  The use of medicines has increased so much that they are being consumed like food these days, said Wellness Expert Dr. B.R. Pai. He was delivering a talk on ‘Pain Management Through Mudras’ organised at Institution of Engineers (IE) on JLB Road here on May 8 and said that the type and number of diseases are increasing year by year and man is becoming a victim of medicines.

Instead of eating nutritious food and doing regular exercises to keep one fit, people today are trying to find quick-fix solutions and thus resorting to taking pills to improve their health. Since man is always experiencing some pain or the other, such practises should be done away with and pain management should done through mudras, he opined.

Nonagenarian Mudra proponent Prof. D.S. Iyer said that since mudras can be practised anywhere one could see improvement in one’s health. The pain that is experienced in different parts of the body can be cured without using any medicine through mudras. If one has to lead a healthy life, everyone without fail must do Jnana Mudra, Prithvi Mudra, Vayu Mudra, Apana Mudra and Prana Mudra for about five to ten minutes every day both in the morning and evening, he said.

IE Mysuru Chairman Dr. R. Suresh, Hon. Secretary D.K. Dinesh Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
