Meeting on ‘Vision Document-2025’ held

Mysuru: A district-level workshop on ‘Vision Document-2025’, an initiative of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah for comprehensive development of Mysuru was held yesterday at the DC Office.

This is a preliminary meeting that was held before the main meeting that will be held in city on Oct. 7 under the chairmanship of L.K. Atheeq, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.

People’s opinion, their suggestions on various sectors including rural development, agriculture, industrial development and employment will be collected by conducting consultation meetings, seminars and workshops.

All 30 districts will be covered and the government aims to capture the expectations of every stakeholder in the State’s development blueprint. Almost all senior officers from the district including ZP CEO P. Shivashankar, Additional DC T. Yogesh, MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, MCC Superintending Engineer Suresh Babu and District Health Officer Dr. B. Basavaraju were present at yesterday’s meeting.

At the meeting, opinions were gathered on agriculture, basic amenities, road, drinking water and cleanliness, skilled development, industrial development, social justice and empowerment, education, health, rural and urban development among others.

The vision document will be prepared by December end where inputs from the document will be used when the party (Congress) prepares its manifesto for the next polls.

IAS Officer Renuka Chidambaram has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Vision 2025 project. Top bureaucracy has also been involved.
