Mega blood donation camp in city on June 13

Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Mysore in association with Terapanth Yuvak Parishad; Humane Touch, Mysuru; RGS Group, Mysuru; Rotary Mysore Midtown and Kodava Samaja Mysuru, has jointly organised a Mega Blood Donation Camp at seven different places in Mysuru on Sunday (June 13).

Addressing a press conference yesterday at Rotary Mysore premises, Rtn. Venkatesh said, “Every year, World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14 to raise awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products. On this occasion, various organisations have come together to organise a Mega Blood Donation Camp on June 13 at the following venues between 8 am and 2 pm:

Madhava Shenoy Kalyana Mantap, Industrial Suburb, Vishweshwaranagar; Ventakalingaiah Kalyana Mantap, Siddartha Layout; Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantap, Kuvempunagar; Bhramaramba Choultry, Srirampura; Kodava Samaja, Vijayanagar First Stage; Kannika Mahal, Ashoka Road and Yuva Terapanth Bhavan, MG Road.

Speaking on the occasion, member of Humane Touch Vikram Gowtham said, “Mysuru needs three to four thousand units of blood every day on an average. I request volunteers to donate blood and save lives.” 

K.R. Hospital Blood Bank, Lions-Jeevadhara Blood Bank, JSS Hospital, Kamakshi Hospital, Apollo BGS Hospital, Cauvery Hospital, Rotary Mysore-Chandrakala Hospital Blood Bank and St. Joseph’s Hospital are also participating.
