Meritorious SSLC, PUC students feted

June 4, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: In an effort to encourage meritorious students, Team Mysuru held a felicitation ceremony to students who had scored more than 80 percent marks in the SSLC and PUC examinations held during 2023-24 academic year, at Mariyamma Convention Hall in Ittigegud here recently.

KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa and other dignitaries presented mementoes to 30 SSLC and 20 PUC students on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Srivatsa expressed his happiness over Team Mysuru for conducting events for the benefit of the students.

“Previously, it was believed that Government Schools and Colleges will not come out with good results. However, this has been proven wrong with good results coming from Government run educational institutions with continuous efforts from both the teachers and students,”                           he said.

Stating that he had also personally instituted Rs. 10,000 cash reward for meritorious students of Government School in Ashokapuram, Srivatsa said that after being elected as an MLA, he has held meetings with heads of various Government Schools and Colleges coming under his Constituency to discuss on upgrading facilities and provide quality education to students.

“Good results have also been possible because of the instructions given by the Chief Minister during his meeting with the heads of Government Schools and Colleges in Mysuru district,” he said.

Prof. Srikantaswamy, former Corporators Chayadevi and R.H. Kumar, Congress leader Manjanna, BJP leader Sundaramurthy,  Programme Co-ordinator Gokul Govardhan and others were present during the occasion.
