Mint coins with images of Lord Ram, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman

January 19, 2024

Sir,

All eyes are on Ayodhya now as the entire nation gears up to witness the ‘Pran Pratishtapana’ of the idol at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya with pomp and jubilation on Monday, Jan. 22.

India has a long tradition of coinage with images of Gods and Goddesses. At this juncture, I wish to draw the attention of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and earnestly appeal to have the images of Lord Sri Ram, Sita Mata, Laxman and Hanuman on the new currency notes / coins to commemorate this historic and auspicious occasion.

I hope that the Centre will consider this proposal and do the needful at the earliest.
