Mandya: Mandya Assistant Commissioner (AC) and his driver had a miraculous escape, when the official vehicle in which he was travelling rammed into a container truck from behind near Hosa Boodanur yesterday afternoon.

AC Suraj was travelling in his official vehicle (KA-11 G-0639) with his driver behind the wheels on some official work. As an accident involving a mini bus had occurred the previous night, works pertaining to clearing of the vehicle was going on resulting in vehicles plying on one side of the road.

Meanwhile, the AC’s vehicle was proceeding behind the container truck and when the truck driver applied brakes all of a sudden, the driver of the AC’s vehicle lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the truck from behind resulting in the AC’s vehicle getting damaged. 

Luckily, AC Suraj and his driver escaped without a scratch and the AC proceeded in another vehicle. Circle Inspector Nemiraj and staff conducted spot inspection. Case has been registered at Mandya Rural Police Station.
