May 17, 2021

Bharathinagar: The driver of a tipper vehicle had a miraculous escape after the vehicle he was driving fell into the cross canal of Hebbala Channaiah Canal near Gudigere on Saturday late night.

On Saturday late night, the tipper driver was driving the vehicle from Yaladahalli towards Gudigere, when he lost control of the vehicle, which rammed into an electric pole and fell into the canal.

The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was provided first-aid at K.M. Doddi Primary Health Centre.

Villagers and Gram Panchayat member Raghavendra said that there is a turning and there is not retaining wall to the canal. Also, the road is very narrow and such mishaps take place frequently.

They  demanded the authorities concerned to take the matter seriously and widen the road, construct a retaining wall, for the benefit of all.

K.M. Doddi Police have  registered a case.
