Miscreants assault man, make away with Rs.2,400 cash, silver chain

Mysuru: Miscreants, who assaulted a man near City Railway Station here on Dec.4 at about 3.30 pm, have made away with Rs.2,400 cash and a 25 grams silver chain.

The victim is Manjunath, a resident of Holenarasipur. 

Manjunath was proceeding towards City Railway Station on foot when two youths introduced themselves and told Manjunath that they were going to Holenarasipur and put their step along with him.

Meanwhile, Manjunath went near the Railway Bridge to attend nature’s call and the youths followed him. 

While one caught hold of Manjunath’s neck tightly and covered his (Manjunath) mouth, another youth brandished a knife and threatened Manjunath of killing him if he shouts or screams. 

They then searched his pockets and took away Rs.2,400 cash and the 25 grams silver chain he was wearing and fled from the spot.

A case has been registered at Devaraja Police Station in this regard.
