Miscreants brutally assault cab driver

Suntikoppa (Kodagu): A cab driver, who had taken passengers to a wedding at Poovaiah Colony in Kanbailu village near Suntikoppa, has been brutally assaulted by miscreants on Wednesday night.

The seriously injured cab driver has been identified as B.M. Sunil of Suntikoppa. 

After taking the passengers to the village, Sunil had parked the car on the road side, when a group of five miscreants climbed and sat on the bonnet of the car. When Sunil objected to this, they assaulted him brutally with stones and sticks injuring him seriously. He was admitted to a hospital at Madikeri by local residents. Sunil, in his complaint, has stated that his gold chain and watch has gone missing during the incident.

Jurisdictional Police, who have registered a case, have taken Sachin, Manoj and Yatish of Molur village into custody.
