January 24, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: GSS Yogic Research Foundation is planning to establish Yoga Study Centre in Mysuru to take yoga to every house and for international recognition, said D. Srihari, Founder of the Foundation.

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, he said a number of programmes have been planned under the aegis of Mysuru Yoga Foundation to promote yoga and ayurveda in international level.  One among them has been setting up of Yoga Study Centre. This would be brought to the notice of Government. “There are 400-plus yoga schools in city and each one has different syllabus. Plan has been chalked out to bring all of them under one umbrella and make every citizen practice yoga. Endeavour is to open more number of yoga schools to impart training. There is a need to include yoga as a study subject,” he added.

Steps have been taken to link yoga with ayurveda and to start a website to popularise Mysuru yoga across the globe, he said.

Yoga instructors, Ganesh and Roopashri were present.
