Miscreants kick scooter down, snatch gold chain of lady rider

April 3, 2019

Mandya: Bike- borne miscreants, who kicked a scooter down, later snatched the gold chain of the lady rider before fleeing from the spot.

The woman, identified as C.N. Netravathi, a resident of Kuvempunagar in Mandya, was riding her scooter along with her children to a school at Uramaarakasalagere as her children had to take an entrance exam.

While returning to Mandya, two miscreants on a TVS Apache bike, who came from the opposite side, began to talk to her and tried to snatch her gold chain weighing about 70 grams.

As Netravathi held on to her chain, the miscreants kicked the scooter down resulting in Netravathi falling along with the scooter and the miscreants making use of the situation, snatched her gold chain and sped away.

Mandya Rural Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
