MoU to establish more industry institute interactions

Mysuru: The Department of Polymer Science and Technology of JSS Science & Technology University (formerly SJCE) in association with Toyoda Gosei South India Pvt. Ltd. (TGSIN), Bidadi, had organised a one-day workshop on “Japanese Culture and Management” at its premises here recently.

The highly sought after Japanese Management Culture which is followed by successful industries was shared to students, industrialists and staff of the University. Nearly 190 members participated in the event.

Seven industries practicing Japanese culture at their business presented their expertise on The Power of Mind and Japanese Culture & Management.

B. Thej Kumar  (Sr. GM, TGSIN), spoke on Safety followed by ‘The Base for Management’ by Paramesh (DM, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts); ‘Training – The first step’ by  Raja (AM, TGSIN); ‘Toyota Production Systems’ by Deepak W. Rego (GM, Toyotetsu India Pvt. Ltd.); ‘5S concepts & approach’ by Girish Dhurwas (DGM, Toyota Kirloskar); ‘Kaizen – The stepping stone for success’ by Jagadeesh Prasad (Ex-Vice-Chairman,  QCFI, Bengaluru) and Mohan (Sr. Manager, TGSIN) spoke on Visual Management.

To establish more industry-institute-interactions, Asian Polymers, Mandya, signed a MoU with the University. Tom Mathew represented the company.

During the inauguration, Prof. B.G. Sangameshwara, Vice-Chancellor, JSS Science & Technology University, Dr. K. S. Lokesh, Registrar, JSS S&TU, Dr. T. N. Nagabhushan, Principal, SJCE,  Prof. Siddaramaiah, Head, Polymer Science Department, were present.
