Miscreants steal Rs. 2.25 lakh items, Rs. 15,000 cash from hardware shop

Mysuru: Burglars who broke into a hardware shop have decamped with items worth Rs. 2.25 lakh and Rs. 15,000 cash on Dec. 25.

The burglary took place at Bhavani Hardware and Paints shop on Chikkanahalli Road in Yelwal village.

Surendrakumar, who was running the shop, closed the business for the day on Dec. 25 night and went home. When he came the next morning, he found the lock of the shop broken and on inspecting the shop, he found Rs. 2.25 lakh items and Rs. 15,000 cash stolen.

A case has been registered at Yelwal Police Station.
