Missing woman’s body found in KRS backwaters

Mysuru: The body of a lady lecturer, who had gone missing since July 17, has been found in KRS backwaters on Thursday.

The body has been identified as that of Deepika (29), a resident of Gayathripuram in city and a lecturer at Government Polytechnic in Bherya, K.R. Nagar.

Deepika, daughter of Balaji Jetty of Agrahara, was married to Rajesh, a resident of Gokulam, five years ago. Deepika, who left her parental home on July 17, had gone missing since, following which a missing complaint was lodged at Nazarbad Police Station. But her body was found in KRS backwaters on Thursday, according to Nazarbad Police.
