Missing youth’s body found in river

March 9, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: The body of a 29-year-old youth, who had gone missing about 20 days ago, was found in a decomposed state in Cauvery River near Mahadevapura on Feb. 16.

The deceased is Yogesh, son of Bettappa and Nagarathna couple, residents of Hinkal in city.

Yogesh had left his house 20 days back and his phone was switched off. As the body was decomposed and unrecognisable, it was difficult for Arakere Police to establish the identity of the deceased and had performed the last rites after post-mortem was conducted. Yogesh’s parents, who were summoned by Arakere Police, identified the body as that of Yogesh through the clothes and slippers.
