Mistaken identity fizzles out kidnap

Mysuru: Mistaken identity has fizzled out an incident of kidnap in city on Monday. A seven-year old boy playing in front of his house in Ashokapuram was reportedly kidnapped in broad daylight by miscreants on Monday in a car who went round the city.

Later they were said to have sent a photo of the boy on WhatsApp to someone when they realised that they have kidnapped the wrong boy.

The kidnappers reportedly left the boy by evening at the same spot from where they had picked up in the morning. The parents of the boy have lodged a complaint with Ashokapuram Police.
