Mysore/Mysuru: NR MLA Tanveer Sait inaugurated the NR Constituency Guarantees implementation Committee Office at MCC Zone-9 Office in Gayathripuram First Stage here on Apr. 13.

Speaking on the occasion, Sait said that the Congress has implemented the 5 pre-poll Guarantees as promised. Pointing out that State and District-level Committees have been formed for overseeing the implementation of Guarantees, he said that unemployed youths are utilising the ‘Yuva Nidhi’ Scheme meant for them, for good.

“As many as 52,000 women are benefited under ‘Gruha Lakshmi’ Scheme in the Constituency. Also, 1.18 lakh households and 1.21 lakh households which have benefited from ‘Gruha Jyothi’ and ‘Anna Bhagya’ Schemes respectively. Eligible unemployed youths who have not yet registered for ‘Yuva Nidhi’ Scheme can register at this new office,” he said.

He said that he has high hopes that senior Congress leader M.N. Mahadeva, who has been appointed as the President of the Committee, would work in a most efficient manner.

Sait further said that he would meet Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar in Bengaluru shortly for sorting out the hurdles in the functioning of Udayagiri North Police Station.

The Committee, headed by M.N. Mahadeva, has H. Shashikumar, N. Surendra, Rakesh Kumar, Ahmed Saleem, C. Vijayalakshmi, N. Reshma, G. Padmavathi, Syed Saddam and N. Lokesh as Members.

KEA Chairman Ayub Khan, former Mayors Pushpalatha Jagannath and Pushpalatha Chikkanna, former Deputy Mayor Pushpavalli, former Corporator Arif Hussain and other local leaders were present.
