MLA Ramdas launches novel programme to help Covid patients in KR Constituency

Mysore/Mysuru: Krishnaraja (KR) MLA S.A. Ramdas launched a novel programme of putting up a white flag with an image of Coronavirus CPOVIin front of houses of Corona positive patients and distribution of medical kit for them in the Constituency yesterday at Ward No. 51 in Rajaram Agrahara.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said while the first wave of COVID-19 bothered senior citizens, the current second wave was affecting young and the middle age population. The home isolated Corona positive patients, in case of health problems, can contact Covid War Room or Covid Task Force where doctors will be available to address their problems.

He said Task Force members were fully prepared to fight against the pandemic and extend help to the needy without considering their caste, creed, religion or colour. The patients can contact Task Force members anytime without hesitation.

The medical kit being distributed to patients contained turmeric, amla, digital thermometer, sanitiser, face shield, mask and medicines that help in early recovery of patients. The Task Force members will also extend all help in case of death of any Corona patient, he added.

Ramdas said there are over 3,000 Corona positive home quarantined patients in his Constituency and all of them were being observed by Task Force members. Neighbours of positive patients must get vaccinated at the earliest as precaution. Medical assistance will be given to the Constituency people anytime, he said.

Mayor Rukmini Madegowda, Deputy Mayor Anwar Baig, Corporator B.V. Manjunath, MCC Health Officer Dr. D.G. Nagaraj, MCC Zonal Assistant Commissioners, Police, Task Force members and ASHA workers accompanied him.
