Mysore/Mysuru: Contributing his mite for the cause of Ram Mandir, K.R. Nagar JD(S) MLA S.R. Mahesh has donated Rs. 5 lakh for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Later speaking to presspersons, Mahesh said that Lord Sriram is worshipped by everyone and in this backdrop, he has donated Rs.5 lakh for the construction of Ram Mandir. Maintaining that there is no lower and upper limits for the donation, he said that anyone can make a donation of Rs.1,000 and above. Noting that he had informed Mahesh about coming to his office, the Minister said that MLA S.R. Mahesh has voluntarily contributed Rs. 5 lakh and asserted that no one is forced to make donations.

He further said that the fund collection drive launched last month has been receiving a tremendous response with people from all sections of the society and all walks of life voluntarily coming forward to make donations in accordance with their capacity.
