MLC demands setting up of Christian Development Corporation

Mysuru:  MLC Ivan D’Souza has urged the Government to establish Christian Development Corporation.

Addressing a press meet here recently, Ivan D’Souza said that the community has presented a memorandum to the Government in this regard, to which Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has responded positively.

Pointing out that the gover-nment had released Rs. 175 crore last year for development of Christian community, he said that the community has urged the Government to release Rs. 300 crore this year.

Demanding implementation of Kerala-type developmental  initiatives for the community, D’Souza asked the State Government to popularise various schemes it had introduced for the welfare and progress of Christian community.
