Mobile phone snatchers in Police net

One cell phone worth about Rs. 20,000 recovered

Mysuru: N.R. Police, on Aug. 6 have taken two persons into custody while they were trying to sell a mobile phone at a throw away  price near Maruthi Circle in N.R. Mohalla here.

When they were subjected to interrogation, the duo is said to have confessed of snatching a mobile phone near Subashnagar Park on Aug. 5 from a youth, following which the Cops formally arrested them. The arrested persons have been identified as Santosh of Kesare and Kiran of R.S. Naidu Nagar in city.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Cops also seized a TVS Apache bike used for the crime.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe and N.R. ACP Dr. Umesh G. Shet supervised N.R. Inspector Ashok Kumar and staff Manjunath and Ramesh in the nabbing and seizing operation.
