Month-long Thiruppavai discourse by Vidwan Dr. M.A. Alwar from Dec.16

Mysuru:  As part of Dhanurmasa Puja, Sree Andal Mandiram Trust, Temple Road, V.V. Mohalla, has organised a month-long discourse on Thiruppavai by Vidwan Dr. M.A. Alwar from Dec.16 to Jan.13 daily evening from 6.15 pm to 7.30 pm in the Trust premises.

Profile: Born in 1972 as the illustrious son of Vidwan Sri Lakshmi Thathachar, Vidwan Dr. M.A. Alwar has passed exams ‘Prachina Nyaya’ in 1st Class, ‘Navya Nyaya’ in 1st Class with distinction, M.A. in Sanskrit (2nd Rank) and has obtained his Ph.D from Rashtreeya Vidyapeetha, Tirupathi.

Dr. Alwar has been serving as Assistant Professor and Professor in-charge of Nyaya Shastra at Maharaja’s Sanskrit College, Mysuru.

A Research Scholar at Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi and Rashtreeya Vidyapeetha, Tirupathi, Project Director, Transdisciplinary University Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health, Bengaluru, Dr. Alwar is approved Guide for M.Phil and Ph.D of the Karnatak Sanskrit University.

He has authored five books and edited and published more than 25 books on various topics pertaining to the collection of information on medicine for Transdisciplinary University Foundation.

He is also into online teaching  of ‘Sri Bhashya’ to foreign students. He is credited with giving Thiruppavai Pravachanam since 1998 at several institutions in Mysuru and other places.
