Mysuru:  Vidwan Prasanna Venkataraman will perform at the monthly moonlight music concert to take place at Suttur Mutt at the foot of Chamundi Hill at 6 pm on Aug.15 (Thursday).

He will be accompanied by Vid. Arjun Kumar on mridanga and Vid. Dilip on violin.

PROFILE: Vid. Prasanna Venkataraman, an M.Tech graduate from IIT Madras, is a popular Karnatak Musician. After learning his early musical lessons from T.R. Balamani and Kalanidhi T.K. Govinda Rao, he is currently tutoring under Sanjay Subramaniam.

Among the many awards he has won include Best Musician award (four times) of Madaras Music Academy, Shanmukha Sangeetha Shiromani award of Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai, M.L. Vasantakumari Award of Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha, Chennai, Yuva Kalabharathi Award of Bharath Kalachar and Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Kendra Sangeetha Natak Academy.

An Akshavani A-Grade artiste, he has performed in many countries including America, Canada, Singapore and France.
