More flights needed from city

May 11, 2023

Sir,

In order to give boost to “Brand Mysuru” certain organisations were seeking several big projects in the  city (Bizmen seek 10 crucial projects to give boost to ‘Brand Mysuru,’ SOM dated May 5, 2023).  One of them was for introducing hop-on and hop-off flights to several destinations, particularly to New Delhi.  This indeed is a very good suggestion.  This will benefit immensely not only the business persons but even people like us who want to visit these distant places for emergencies.

Flights must be introduced to Mumbai and Delhi from Mysuru.  This will save us from traveling to Bengaluru Airport and enable people to travel to foreign destinations too. Hope the authorities concerned would do something about this.

Airlines in India should plan for net zero emissions. Zeroavia a startup has tested a dornier 228 hydrogen based aircraft with its first flight and is next planning a larger hydrogen aircraft with Alaska airlines. Sustainable travel will be the choice of the next generation and cab operators in mysuru should start by introducing electric taxi from mysuru to Bengaluru airport.

    Keep prattling nonsense.
The best net zero appro\ch is not to use the air transport, and make journey by trains.
