Mysore/Mysuru: A woman has joined her son a day after he died in an accident. The incident took place at Yalagowdanahundi in the taluk yesterday. The deceased woman is Basamma (60). On Sunday, Basamma’s son Manju (30) was proceeding from Mysuru towards Bannur when it was raining heavily and when he neared Bontagalli Gate, he is said to have lost control of the bike and rammed it into the retaining wall of the bridge. Manju, who sustained severe head injuries, had breathed his last on the spot.

Basamma, who was depressed following the death of her youngest son Manju, attended the last rites at the family’s farm land yesterday evening and was taking rest at her house where she breathed her last. Basamma’s last rites were held this afternoon, according to sources.
