In a tragic mishap, a motorcyclist was killed on the spot when the two-wheeler he was riding, was knocked down by a tipper near the KRS Toll Gate in Srirangapatna taluk this morning

The deceased has been identified as Prasad (20) of Shyadnahalli in Srirangapatna taluk.

Soon after the mishap, irate villagers staged a demonstration at the spot, seeking a regulation on movement of heavy vehicles on the road.

KRS Police have registered a case in this regard.
