MP inaugurates Solo Painting Expo

Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha inaugurated the solo painting expo of artist T.S. Murali at Sri Ravivarma Art Institute in Chamarajapuram here last evening.

Speaking after inaugurating the expo, Pratap Simha said that art and literature is not everyone’s cup of tea and one has to work hard to master them.

He said that Murali has brought his imagination in the form of painting on canvas and lauded Murali for capturing the beauty of nature in and around Mysuru on canvas.

The five-day painting expo showcases the beauty of nature in Mysuru and surroundings, Melukote, Madikeri and important places in Magadi which is painted using water colours and  acrylic paints.

Advocate S. Arun Kumar, television serial actor Gautham Ghatke, Industrialist M.J. Manjuswamy, Sri Ravivarma Art Institute Principal Shivakumar Kesaramadu and others were present during  the inaugural.

The expo, which is open to public from 11 am to 5 pm, will conclude on July 15.
