Muckatira (Arapattu) Shyam Appaiah, son of  M.B. Poonacha and a resident of # 58, 10th Main, Sanmarga, Siddartha Layout, Mysuru, passed away yesterday midnight. He was 50.

A native of Arapatt village in Kadanga, Virajpet taluk, Kodagu, he leaves behind his wife Neetha (Accapanda) and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city this afternoon, according to family sources.
