Mysuru: The continued MUDA General Meeting, presided over by MUDA Chairman H.N. Vijay, began at MUDA hall on JLB road in city this morning.
MUDA Chairman Vijay had adjourned the May 10 meeting for today, after MLCs Marithibbegowda and Sandesh Nagaraj locked horns over the issue of issuing NOC to private layouts.
Today’s meeting with a prolonged debate on issuance of NOCs to private layouts at Halalu, Yedahalli, Kergalli, Chikkalli and Yandhalli in Kasaba Hobli of Mysuru taluk, which was the bone of contention between the two MLCs with Marithibbegowda reportedly pressing for the issuance of NOCs and Sandesh Nagaraj severely opposing it on the grounds that MUDA will be left with no lands for formation of layouts.
Today’s meeting will also discuss 114 subjects, carried out from the last meeting, which included MUDA action plan for 2018-19, notification on allotment of CA sites, purchase of a jetting machine for cleaning of drainages and status of projects undertaken by MUDA, among others.
MLAs Tanveer Sait, S.A. Ramdas, L. Nagendra B. Harshavardhan and Ravindra Srikantaiah, MLCs Marithibbegowda, K.T. Srikantegowda, Sandesh Nagaraj and Narayanaswamy, Corporator SBM Manju, MUDA Commissioner P.S. Kantharaj, SE B.K. Suresh Babu, Town Planner member B.N. Girish and other officials are taking part in the meeting.
