Sri Krishna Gana Sabha has organised a Music Concert on Feb.21 and Drama “Krishne Gowdana Aane” on Feb.22. On Feb.21 at 6 pm, Vidu. Veena Ravikumar will perform at Alwar Kala Bhavan, Gokulam 3rd Stage, accompanied by Vid. Dr. M.G. Narahari on violin, Vid. P.S. Sridhar on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on ghata.Veena was initially trained by Vidu. M.S. Jayamma and later by Vid. A.V. Prakash. She is getting advanced training under Sukanya Prabhakar. A Medical Doctor by profession, she got first rank in Junior Music exam, third rank in Senior and first rank in senior Veena exam. The concert is sponsored by Dr. C.M. Muniramappa and family.

Krishne Gowdana Aane: This drama is based on one of the short stories written by well-known Kannada writer Poorna Chandra Tejasvi. It is often pointed out that a blind man by touching one of the organs of an elephant cannot describe the animal. In the same way understanding the subject matter of the drama depends on the experience, attitude and emotion of a person witnessing the drama. It starts with humour which is subtle and takes one to think seriously on the complexities in life subsequently.

Senior artistes of Rangayana — Mime Ramesh, Noor Ahmed Shiek, M.C. Krishna Prasad, Vinayaka Bhat Hasarngi, Mahadev, Jagadeesh Manavarthe, Prameela Bengre, B.N. Sashikala and Raghu Rao — will enact the play under the Direction of R. Nagesh. S. Ramanath will compere the show which will be inaugurated  by Bhagirathi Bai Kadam, Director, Rangayana, on Feb. 22 at 6.30 pm. This programme is sponsored by Dr. Bharathi Sridhar Raj Urs and A.Vishwanath, Chartered Accountant.
