Mysore/Mysuru: Kalasuruchi has organised Karnatak Music Concert by Ashwini Kolikkaje at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on July 23 at 7 pm.

She will be accompanied by Keshav Mohankumar on violin, Nandan Kashyap on mridanga and Shamith S. Gowda on ghata.

PROFILES

Ashwini Kolikkaje is studying M.Music final year in University College of Fine Arts, Mysuru. She started learning Karnatak Classical Music under the guidance of her parents, Balasubramanya Bhat & Shubha B.S. Bhat, at the age of 5 and later under Vidu. Koviladi R. Kala. Winner of Shankara Super Singer Season 3 title, she has secured 6 gold medals in Bachelor of Performing Arts from University of Mysore.

Keshav Mohankumar is a young promising violinist disciple of Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy. B-High graded artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, he has performed at various Sabhas in Karnataka, Chennai and Pune.

Nandan Kashyap, son of M.S. Anil Kumar and Gayatri, completed B.Com from St. Joseph’s Degree College, Mysuru. He is learning  mridanga since 14 years under Vid. V.S. Ramesh (Mysuru) and now from Dr. Patri Satish Kumar (Chennai). He has won prizes in talavadya and awarded as ‘Best Mridanga Accompanist’ by Naadamaya Music Foundation, Bengaluru. He has been giving concerts from past 7 years in various Sabhas.

Shamith S. Gowda, son of S.T. Sadananda Gowda and Shakuntala Gowda, is currently pursuing BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIE, Mysuru. He started learning mridanga under Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy, AIR staff artiste, Mysuru. At present, he is learning under Ganakalashree Vid. Giridhar Udupa. He has completed his Senior Exams from Karnataka State Board and has accompanied various senior renowned artistes.
