Mysuru: Sri Krishna Ganasabha, Mysuru, has organised a music competition on July 19 from 10 am onwards at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Gokulam on the occasion of Sri Mummadi Krishnaraj Wadiyar Jayanti to be held on July 26 at 6 pm.

The competition will be held in the following categories: Classical Music (Vocal only) on Bhavageete or Bhaktigeete for Juniors (6-15 years) and Seniors (16-25 years). Juniors should sing keertane composed by one of the Trinities of Music in a duration of not more than 5 minutes. Seniors should render compositions by any one of the Trinities of Music in a duration not more than 10 minutes.

Participants may register their names in the Temple Office from 9 am to 11 am or 6 pm to 8 pm, before July 18.  First three prize winners will be awarded Rs. 500, Rs. 400 and Rs. 300 respectively with a memento and a certificate on July 26. Consolation prize will also be given for the deserving.

Prize winners, along with other talented youngsters, will be allowed to sing on July 26.
